It was the Spring of 2018, and Pam had been conversing with her husband Rick about getting a small and quiet space where she would be able to read, relax, and hang out. Rick then suggested she get a Backyard She Shed. Both Rick and Pam knew they’d be retiring the following year and wanted a place Pam can relax when the “togetherness” got a bit much. After discussing it for a while, Pam decided she wanted the She Shed, as long as it was grey and had a purple door.

How did Pam Find Her Future Backyard She Shed Builder?
Pam started by looking at a Shed company near her but could not find what she was looking for, claiming the representative was “too busy to help.” She went ahead and checked two more businesses online and still could not find what she was looking for in a She Shed until one day, she found Sheds Unlimited.
After looking on the Sheds Unlimited website, Pam and Rick decided to drive 2 hours from their home in Winfield, PA, to the Sheds Unlimited office.
We were very impressed, not only with the number of different sheds on site but also with the quality of workmanship we saw in the sheds.
Designing Her Backyard She Shed
After speaking with the sales team representative Ben Shue, they agreed that a 12×20 Premier Garden Shed would be an ideal size and style for her prefab shed. Pam wanted to go for a Modern She Shed look by adding plenty of light, several windows, two double windows on the front, and a single window at each end. She also wanted the wall to be big enough to fit her bookcase library.
After making some last-minute changes in which Ben was “more than helpful,” it was time for Pam and Rick to start preparing their shed site.
Preparing the Backyard She Shed Site
While Sheds Unlimited was building the Backyard She Shed, Pam and Rick worked on the shed site at home. Living on a hill, they needed to be cautious with stone and pad construction. They required the southern pad to be lifted higher to make up for the incline. Pam and Rick had plenty of things to do to prepare the shed installation, including removing a tree that was in the Outdoor She Shed space in order for the shed to fit into her selected space.
She contacted Sheds Unlimited regarding her issues and Sheds Unlimited accommodated her by keeping her She Shed at the lot until they can get it finished. Once everything was cleared up, it was time to get the storage shed delivered and installed.
Backyard She Shed Installation Day
It was delivery day, and Sheds Unlimited arrived promptly 5 minutes before they said they would, which made Pam very happy. Nate (the driver) was excellent; he used the Mule to maneuver the Shed around the trees. Nate was able to tuck the Shed into an area of their yard with a minimal amount of trouble.
Nate dealt with everything with consummate professionalism, as he understood that Pam didn’t want to cut more branches than she has already cut.
He was an excellent driver. It took him exactly one hour to maneuver the Shed into position. This is an employee who knows exactly what he’s doing.
Renovating the Backyard She Shed
Once Pam’s She Shed was installed, they immediately got started on the interior. They wired the Shed for electricity, cable, and ethernet. Rick then started to insulate the Shed to get it ready for drywall. Pam and Rick hired a contractor to complete the drywall and wainscoting on the ceiling.
He also constructed small doors into the ceiling, and niches in case Pam or Rick needed to get up inside for any maintenance. Finally, after installing the floor with the framed windows and doors, they were ready to move in.
Pam’s Finished Backyard She Shed
While the inside of the She Shed is finished, they still need to work on the outside. They added a deck to sit outside in the summer. Once the warmer weather gets to them, they hope to start staining the deck and work on landscaping.
Ever since Pam had her Backyard She Shed installed, it has grabbed many people’s attention in the neighborhood. During the delivery, her neighbor saw what was happening and quickly started asking questions. People even started coming over to comment on how nice it looked and how the quality of the construction looked.
As they continued to work on the interior of the She Shed, many neighbors wanted to how everything was going. After seeing the Shed, Pam’s neighbor said that he was very impressed saying, “it’s a shed that doesn’t look like a shed” and that he will be contacting Sheds Unlimited.
What Does Pam Think About Her Backyard She Shed?
She stated her She Shed is everything she has wanted. It’s her library, their movie theatre, a place to go and relax, a place to hang out with friends; it’s a little bit of everything. And it has a purple door!
Pam says if anyone is thinking about owning their own She Shed to talk to Sheds Unlimited. From the first phone call with Ben to the scheduling with Japheth, and then to Nate delivering the Shed, she knew Sheds Unlimited was the best way to go for them.
They were in contact with us every step of the way. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with the Shed.
