Follow These Instructions For Storage Shed Pad Preparation with a Gravel Pad
Preparing for your storage shed from Sheds Unlimited is an important procedure. We recommend placing your shed on a gravel storage shed pad as outlined below. Please follow the storage shed pad or car garage pad instructions as outlined. On larger two-, three-, or four-car garages and two-story buildings, we provide directions on preparing a concrete pad. As always, feel free to call us at 717-442-9055 or email us if you have any further questions.
NOTE: Sheds Unlimited is NOT responsible for structural problems if one fails to follow the instructions. Failure to follow instructions will void the Sheds Unlimited Warranty and may incur extra delivery charges!
1. Measure the Space for your Building
Please ensure that our “MULE” can bring the shed fully assembled into your backyard (if the area is tight, please request a “built-on-site” shed).
2. Build a Perimeter for Your Storage Shed
Build a 4″x4″, 4″x6″ or 6″x6″ pressure treated perimeter. The STONE AREA of your SHED PAD should be at least ONE FOOT WIDER and ONE FOOT LONGER than the actual size of the building. See Photos Below.
3. Fill in With Stone
Fill the area inside the frame with 4-6 inches of 3/4 INCH CRUSHED STONE – DO NOT USE RIVER BEAD STONE or a SMOOTH ROUNDED STONE!!
4. Check for Level
Please MAKE SURE that the pad is PERFECTLY LEVEL and SQUARE
