Why NOT to choose a Rent-A-Shed Option

Many of the Sheds Unlimited competitors offer a Rent-to-Own Shed and Garage Option. Find out here why we have discontinued this feature beginning in May of 2015. While Renting a Storage Shed in PA may seem to be a good option when you look at the low monthly payments, before you choose this option with one of our competitors consider the following: (Our competitors who offer RTO will not tell you these secrets!).

  • RTO will cost you up to 65 percent more in three years
  • While RTO suppliers do not charge interest, their rental rates are VERY HIGH!
  • To buy from Sheds Unlimited, we allow you to pay your shed in two payments. One upon ordering and the final payment upon delivery.

Before you choose a Rent-to-Own shed program, call Sheds Unlimited and find out why it is to your advantage to buy a shed direct from us!

1. Rent-to-Own sheds and garages end up costing between 25% and 65% more than if you bought a shed direct from Sheds Unlimited
Why, you might ask, does rent to own cost so much more than buying a shed outright? First of all, when you choose RTO for your storage shed or garage, you are actually then dealing with a Rental Shed company. They simply buy the shed from our competitors and rent it to you at very high interest rates. Well, they do not call it interest, but again, you will pay substantially more for a rental shed than if you purchase from Sheds Unlimited.

2. If at any time you stop paying the rental fees, your building will be taken from you
Again, while the monthly cost for a rent-to-own shed may seem low, what happens if you lose your job in the middle of your contract? Or what if some tragedy happens and you cannot afford to make the montly payments? Remember, the rental shed or garage remains the property of the rental company until you make the final rent payment. You may end up paying more for the rent of a shed in two years than the entire shed would have cost you from Sheds Unlimited and still end up with NO SHED AT ALL!

3. When are Rent-to-Own Sheds and Garages a good option for the customer?
There are ONLY two situations in which RTO is good for a customer. First, if you are already paying a monthly rental fee to a storage facility and could then cut that cost out by renting a shed. This would mean no more running to the storage facility and at the end of three years of rental the shed will be yours (But again, it would be much cheaper to buy a shed from Sheds Unlimited dirct). Another time to choose RTO would be if you know you only need storage for a few months. In this case, you can pay the rental fees for several months and then the rental company will come and pick up the shed or garage from your property. But please don’t tell the rental company we gave you this secret!

The bottom line is that at Sheds Unlimited, we want our customers to have a good experience when buying sheds and garages. However, we have found that selling Rent-to-Own Sheds and Garages has created many problems for our customers. The exorbatant fees charged by rental companies came back to bite our customers over and over again and many came back dissapointed.

Don’t have all the funds on hand today to buy a shed or garage?
Sheds Unlimited allows you to buy your shed in two payments. First, when you place the order we ask for 30 to 50 percent deposit and the final payment is due when the building is delivered. This means that if you want to order a shed today, you do not need to have all the money on hand.

Before choosing rent-to-own from our competition, call us at 717-442-3281or Email Us and we can discuss how to get the shed or garage you need without all the extra costs!

Fantastic to Deal With

I

found the staff and build-out crew to be fantastic to deal with. The attitude from everyone was “can do” and what can I do to give you what you need. There is nothing I would change from my experience.. Jeff from Columbia Maryland
